Faders, headphone mixes, phone or remote-guest paths, sound pads and recording to a card. Right for two to four hosts operated by a non-engineer. Most business studios end up here.
Podcast recorder
A field recorder with several mic inputs. Records without a computer, travels well, offers fewer live-mixing controls. Right for mobile shows and as a backup.
